Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian singer-songwriter. She has produced more than 20 studio albums. The music of DiFranco has been described as folk-rock and alternative rock although it includes influences from punk funk hip beat and jazz. Ani Difranco is widely recognized as an icon of music that is feminist. In the year 1990, she was among the first artists to create her own label independently. DiFranco has two daughters: Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They began their relationship in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian heritage and her mother was born in Montreal. Ani diFranco was the composer and singer of the track 32 Flavors. The song was featured on her fifth studio album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995. The song is featured in the soundtrack to the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999.
