Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Roberts is fourth in the Roberts generation that has lived in Atlanta, beginning with her grandfather who was a farmer, John Pendleton Roberts. The Robertses' father was interested in theatre from an early time. When he was a student in Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus as well as in other parts of Atlanta. While stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he was commissioned into the air force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was also in the production. They got married in 2005, and welcomed their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957, the couple left the airforce and Walter started his education at Tulane University. Walter was hired as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to assist on the stage of the television show Bum Bum His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning show on local television for kids called Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. This was a project they self-financed. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in the year 1964, and it was in operation for a period of six years. During this time they were blessed with two additional kids Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965 in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
